Comprehensive management platform for industrial tomato cultivation

Year: 2020
Location: Extremadura

Comprehensive management for industrial tomato cultivation has been implemented within the SMARTOM project, developed within the supra-autonomous functional group, to optimise the use of irrigation water and agrochemicals.

Ambling has once again committed to applying hyperspectral technology, through which a mathematical model has been developed, capable of predicting the agrochemical components of the soil and plants (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, and over 20 elements analysed) while monitoring the ripening and harvest prediction, helping technicians and farmers to be more efficient in the management of their plantations and allowing to obtain real-time data and at the farm to choose the ideal response and management strategies quickly.
