In July 2017, the containment dyke of the Valverde de la Vera supply reservoir (Cáceres) broke in part, generating a flood and with it, considerable material damage. After the catastrophe, the Junta de Extremadura undertook the emergency works to counteract the effects of the breakage, for which Ambling prepared a diagnostic and analysis report of the causes, a report assessing the damage caused by the breakage and the project for the emergency works to alleviate the damage caused by the flood. It then assisted in the technical side and coordinated the health & safety aspects of the works.
